This digital art print of Saints Perpetua and Felicity is the perfect addition to your home decor or a great gift for birthdays, baby showers, weddings, or Christmas.
Perpetua and Felicity were two young women in the 3rd century in North Africa who were imprisoned for their faith in God, and along with several male companions, were martyred.
The women would not give up their faith and found comfort in each other because at the time of their imprisonment, Perpetua was nursing her newborn and Felicity was eight months pregnant. After Felicity gave birth, her daughter was adopted by a Christian family in the community.
Eventually, the men in their company were thrown to the wild beasts in the arena and Perpetua and Felicity faced a rabid cow before being thrown to the animals in the arena as well.
Perpetua and Felicity are the patron saints of mothers, expectant mothers, ranchers and butchers.
